High-net-worth family law: the full service line, and what it is for
Divorce, division, succession, business continuity or cross-border enforcement involving significant wealth.
The same facts drive divorce risk, succession and business continuity. Advice that treats them separately usually leaves gaps.
The first step is a short review of the family's structure, assets and jurisdictions. Everything else follows from that.
The service line
| Stage | What we do |
|---|---|
| Before marriage | Property arrangements, asset documentation, due diligence on a spouse's financial position, cross-border formalities |
| During marriage | Postnuptial agreements, restructurings, protection of business interests, creditor exposure, family contributions documentation |
| On separation | Mediated and litigated divorce, asset and equity division, preservation, hidden asset investigation, cross-border enforcement planning |
| After divorce | Recognition of foreign decrees, record updates, post-divorce claims, redivision where assets emerge |
| Across generations | Succession, wills, family agreements, business continuity, governance for the next generation |
What makes the work different at this level
- Enforceability comes first. Advice begins with what can actually be done, not with what would be fair.
- Evidence must be built, not collected. Valuations, ownership chains and transfer histories have to be assembled from documents that do not exist in one place.
- Privacy is a substantive interest. A quiet outcome is usually worth more than a favourable public one.
- Jurisdictions interact. A step taken in one country changes the position in another; sequence matters.
Our working method
Mediation-first, with litigation prepared in parallel. The family team works with a mediation centre led by a retired judge with more than 30 years of mediation experience, and every file is prepared as though it will be tried — evidence mapped, valuation positioned, preservation considered. Where the parties will engage, that preparation produces a faster and more private outcome; where they will not, it is the reason the litigation is a strong one.

Services are delivered in English and Chinese, with coordination of authentication, translation and cross-border documentation. Figures are the firm's internal statistics as at 2026 and do not indicate a repeatable outcome.
